Lake Memphremagog                 Juniors     State     Championship   (09)

Saturday, 8-29 started 58 degrees and raining but all boaters, plus one and all juniors, minus one were very anxious to go.

At 9 am, Mr. Welch, Mr. Broillard and I went on a mission and found each boat and took some pictures.

The rain had stopped by then and there would be no chance of sun today so we all set tents and tables for the weigh-in, plenty of bungees were used for the wind.

After the preparations were complete, the   eight boats and fifteen competitors were starting to arrive. The adults on shore were backing- in the next guy’s truck and trailer and it was encouraging to see everyone helping each other.

The smell of hot pizza and subs from Hoagies was too much for some of the Guys and they headed straight for the food tent before weighing in their fish.

Bob Crino was handling the fish while Amber Monfette and Erin Forbes were completing paperwork.

With lots of healthy bass and not a single dead one, the fish were back in the lake and the results were completed.Lunker smally went to Taylor Bahr and Linker Largemouth went to Matt Spardella.

The New 11-14 yr old champion is Adrian Forbes with 5 fish weighing 9.42 lbs

The 15-18 yr old Champion is Taylor Bahr with 5 fish weighing 11.13 lbs

The Guys will be representing the VT bass Federation in Atlanta, Georgia   about August 1st 2010, in the World Championships.     Congratulations!!!

Thanks to all boaters and parents who helped make this possible for these young men to compete and be part of a fun group.

Also Thanks to the Vermont Bass Federation for financing most of this event and TBF for supplying lots of tackle and sponsor product for the raffle.
