- There
is a group organized called Vermont Wildlife Partnership, they are trying to
get more funding for the Fish& Wildlife. They want us to join them. They
are trying to work with legislatures and Fish and Wildlife to get 1/8 of 1%
of the room and meals tax, that figure would be about $4,000,000 a year.
Joining them would mean that our name gets added to the list of supporters.
A motion was made and accepted that we join the list of supporters.
- The
state of
New Hampshire
was going to change their lead rule but it has been thrown out so it is back
to normal.
- The
FLW is looking for volunteers for their tournament out of Plattsburg on
9/5-8
- There
is a VHS virus in the
Great Lakes
that effects bait fish, small mouth and large mouth bass. There is no
transporting order in effect from the Federal government and the DEC in
New York
has their own set of rules in place. Under the current temporary order
during tournaments in VT fish could go into NY but NY fish cannot come to
VT. The Federal government will come out with a permanent ruling in march.
Because of this there is a good chance that the divisional will be moved off
of Champlain. They are talking about
Lake
Sacandaga
.
- There
was more discussion about the
state team
ending with a zero balance. There was discussion about capping fuel
reimbursement at possibly $350 for boaters and $200 for non-boaters. There
was a motion made and accepted that extra money goes back to that years
team.
- Norm
has tickets for the TBF Nationals, they were $213.00
