Treasurer's Report: Don Collins

Norm handed out an expense sheet for the divisionals. We noted a couple of changes: the money from the qualifier and the state team deposits goes against the expenses. A motion was made and accepted to go with the expense sheet with changes.

We discussed what to do about next year's state team. About half of next years team are new, which means they will need shirts and jackets which cost approximately $127.00 per team member. The "new" shirt from this year costs about $65.00. We need to think about how to proceed with clothing for next years team.

We have a certificate from Lowrance that we need to use before December 15th. A motion was made and accepted to go with the 520c and an H2oc.

Frank is negotiating with Minn-Kota for a deal for next years  State team. It was suggested that maybe we could get shirts from Minn-Kota.

There were two tournaments out of the southern end of Lake Champlain on youth duck hunting weekend which was September 29th & 30th One was out of Ti and the other was out of Benson landing. There is a different guy complaining this year. He is trying to get NY & VT fish and wildlife dept. to agree to not hand out permits for that weekend. Norm inquired on August 3rd about when the weekend would be this year and he didn't get an answer until the second week of September. Norm is talking with James Ehlers about how to handle the situation. Norm would like to see us voluntarily move off that weekend which would mean there would be no VBF club tournaments that weekend. Norm thinks by doing it on a voluntary basis can make a big difference and would prevent us from being forced.

Chittenden County BassMasters changed their dues deadline to October so it would coincide with TBF which are due by December 31st . A motion was made and accepted to have VBF membership dues due at the December meeting to coincide with National dues.

Congratulations to the 2007 Vermont State Team they took first place at Sacandaga. Bob Crino(boater) and Tim Austin(non-boater) will be going to the TBF Championship tournament.
