Secretary's Report was read
and accepted; Mindy Gagner
Treasurer’s Report;
Don Collins
New Business; Norm
- Norm was going to call Nick
Haire about our website but Bill talked to Nick and got in the website but it
is difficult to manage and hard to maneuver around. Nick owns the website
Vtbass.com and he put a lot of money into the sight. We learned that it costs
$40 per year for a domain name through Go Daddy. A motion was made and
accepted to purchase the domain name vermontbassfederation.com. We will
explain to Nick that we really need our own site.
- Quantam is no longer
sponsoring any Federations.
- There was a State Team
meeting on April 30 at 7:00pm at the Ground Round and there were 7 members
present, 6 did not attend. One of them couldn’t make it because he was sick,
one was at school and one was working. The other three forgot. There was an
e-mail sent to notify everyone of the meeting that prompted an acknowledgement
and all State Team deposits were in on time. There was lengthy discussion on
what to do about the missing people. A motion was made and accepted that
because there was no major malfunctions caused we move on and don’t dwell on
it.
- Norm is going to run for TBF
Vice-President. He is looking into whether or not he can still continue to be
our President if he gets his new position.
- There was discussion about
the State Team and whether or not they are going to do any fundraising or if
they are just going to get the money from the open. Don & Tom are trying to
set up a poker game and there was some talk about the interest on the CD.
- Lowrance has 35,000 units on
back order right now.
- If we get a proposal into Minn-Kota by August 1st
of this year we might be able to get something from them for sponsorship. New
Hampshire’s State Team each gets a trolling motor. Frank Tully
volunteered to help write a proposal and he will talk to Rob Frye to see how
New Hampshire did theirs. The proposal for this year would be for the State
Team in 2008.
• Meeting adjourned at 7:52pm.
Respectfully submitted, Mindy
Gagner
